What is JobASAP?

The JobASAP project, with project code 116663, is co-funded under Programme II "Development of Digital Products and Services" of Axis 2.3 "Digitisation of Businesses", Action 16706 "Digital Transformation of SMEs", of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0.

The proposed project concerns the development of a web platform (JobASAP product) that will be offered as a SaaS service, accessible via mobile applications (iOS and Android) and the web, addressing the needs of a specific niche market: the supply, search, discovery, and agreement for temporary and short-term work in real time, in a fully automated way, using AI/ML technology and Gamification-based Loyalty methodology.

The JobASAP product will offer services:

  • To businesses or individuals (natural persons) seeking workers for a short period to cover suddenly arising needs ("job-givers")
  • To individuals (natural persons), with or without professional experience, who decide and wish to work immediately, anywhere, for a short period, e.g. a few hours or days ("job-seekers")

It concerns businesses and individuals in the market directly or indirectly connected to tourism activity (hospitality, accommodation, stays, events, etc.).

JobASAP — Brief Description of the Service / Product

JobASAP is an innovative digital service, accessible from mobile devices (iOS, Android) and the web, which aims to meet the needs of a specific niche market: immediate, short-term, and seasonal employment in sectors related to tourism.

The service acts as an intermediary between two categories of users:

  • Job Givers: Businesses or individuals seeking workers for a short period, to cover suddenly arising needs.
  • Job Seekers: Individuals looking for flexible, short-term work — potentially without prior sector experience.

The core technological innovation of JobASAP is the automated, real-time matching of supply and demand, using AI/ML technology and Gamification-based Loyalty methodology.

The platform's core is based on real-time matching algorithms that consider both the worker's skills and preferences and the employer's requirements. Matching is based on geographic proximity (location-based matching) via PostGIS spatial queries.

As an innovative feature, a recommendation engine based on Graph Neural Networks technology is leveraged — specifically the GraphSAGE algorithm — which models user relationships in a graph and generates personalised job suggestions.

The platform also uses Large Language Models (LLMs) for natural language processing, as well as AI services (such as Amazon Rekognition/Comprehend) for automated content moderation (AI content moderation).

Artificial intelligence is additionally applied in user identity verification via KYC verification and in the execution of digital contracts. In parallel, the platform incorporates gamification and reward mechanisms (gamification/loyalty) aiming at long-term user engagement and retention.

The JobASAP platform manages, end-to-end, the entire employment lifecycle: from posting a staffing need, matching supply and demand, and reaching an employment agreement, to contract signing, attendance monitoring, worker payment, and collaboration evaluation.
